The SVSU Science & Engineering Symposium aimed to enhance the user experience and visual appeal of its booklet, seeking a redesign that would effectively showcase research, projects, and advancements to a broader audience.
Process
To achieve this, the redesign strategy focused on creating a harmonious balance and clear hierarchy within the booklet's composition.
Sorting text into primary and secondary categories allowed exploration of font sizes, weights, and colors, while adopting a landscape orientation and dedicating specific pages to sections aimed to declutter and capture reader focus.
Additionally, the choice of the Google Font Urbanist and a blend of blue and green gradients aimed to portray simplicity, elegance, and vibrancy to the design.
Outcome
The redesigned SVSU Science & Engineering Symposium booklet showcased research and advancements while attracting a wider audience, presenting a visually appealing and engaging format that conveyed simplicity, elegance, and the talent within the SVSU community.
